We Have Been Deceived!

Posted By on January 23, 2016

Jude exhorts his readers to earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. Messiah warns of a coming deception so powerful that if it were possible, it would deceive even the elect. He tells us that few will find the straight and narrow way, but many will travel the broad path that leads to destruction. Peter warns that Paul’s writings contain things that are difficult to understand, and that ignorant and unstable people will twist Paul’s writings, and fall from grace. John, in Revelation, predicts a great harlot, ruling over the kings of the earth, and drunk with the blood of martyrs and saints.

Some churches don’t address these verses at all. Those that do, treat them as some future trial coming in the very last days – perhaps the tribulation. The reality is that we already in the last days, and the deception is already here. We have been deceived. The faith taught by the Christian church is not what was originally delivered to the saints. Instead, it is the religion of the harlot.

Early believers in Messiah, both Jew and gentile, worshiped in the synagogues every Sabbath day, right alongside Jews who did not recognize the Messiah. For nearly 300 years after the resurrection, the Sabbath was the believers’ day of worship, study, and rest; and the Holy Days of Leviticus 23 were their annual celebrations of faith.

Change came in the early 300s AD. There had long been tension between Rome and the Jews. In 321 AD, Constantine made it a crime, punishable by death, to observe the 7th day Sabbath. Instead, he decreed “the venerable day of the Sun” as a day of rest throughout the Roman empire. Although frequently referred to as the “first Christian emperor”, Constantine made no mention of Messiah, or His resurrection, in issuing his decree. Rather, he continued to print “Sol Invictos Comiti” – committed to the Invincible Sun – on the coins of his empire up until his death.

To establish one Catholic (Universal) religion for the entire Roman empire, Constantine pushed a blended faith that combined elements of early Christianity with sungod worship tracing back to Babylon. Easter, named for the springtime fertility goddess married to the Sun, replaced Passover. Forty days of “weeping for Tammuz” was institutionalized as Lent. The pagan Saturnalia at the winter solstice (December 25 when our Roman calendars were established) was set as the “holiest” day of the year. Yes, Christmas was originally “Dies Natalis Solis Invicti”, the “Birthday of the Unconquerable Sun”. It was a death penalty meted out by Rome that caused early believers to relinquish Yah’s feasts, and accept these counterfeit Roman traditions in their place.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, ‘Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.’

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

But the angel said to me, ‘Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns…

‘Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits… And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.’ (Revelation 17:1-7,9,18 NKJV)

If you have any doubt about which city is referred to here, simply Google the phrase “seven hills of Rome”. Christian churches today, both Catholic and Protestant, still keep the counterfeit traditions of Rome, instead of following the truths of scripture. Christianity is Babylon — the broad road that leads to destruction.

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ‘Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. (Revelation 18:4 NKJV)

The Way is straight and narrow, and found only in scripture. Start with Leviticus 23. Then read Psalm 119. Then James. Peace.

  1. Michael Fuller says:

Right on point. I have been writing about this for a long time, we know Paul did not teach the Law abolished however the church embraces this as it fits the doctrine. Good work and keep the faith.
