Peter and Paul

Posted By on June 25, 2016

This letter is attributed to Peter, and addressed to James.

If this is a forgery, it is a very old forgery, as it is part of the “Clementine Homilies”, of which there are manuscripts dated to around 410 AD. At the very least, a forgery this old shows that the modern interpretation of Paul’s letters (specifically, that the law was “nailed to the cross”), was not universally accepted in the early church; and that the idea that believers in Messiah should instead be keeping the law goes back to the earliest days of Christianity.

If this letter is authentic, it changes *everything* you thought you knew about the New Testament, and what it means to follow the Messiah.
